This piece is part of the “Grita Mumbai” collection, the result of a trip to India in September. During one of my walks, I came across a small, old shop run by a very kind couple, where I bought various linens (sheets and blankets). I fell in love with the patterns and colors of the sheets that were kept at the back of a display case, and it was in that place that this collection was born.
“Namaste” is a greeting of Sanskrit origin that means “I bow to you” or “greetings to you.” Etymologically, it derives from “namas” (reverence) and “te” (to you). Beyond its literal translation, the term carries a deep sense of respect and is often interpreted as “the divine in me honors the divine in you,” especially in the context of yoga.
