Sankofa (Akan, Ghana) – Means "to go back and get" or "to learn from the past".

This piece was made as part of the GRITA SAMISSONE project. A project created within the scope of the participation of the two creators, Cristina and Teresa, in the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs. • Composition: cotton and polyester
• The African-patterned fabric was paired with a tea towel featuring embroidered chickens (applied to the back). The tea towel's border was applied to the front, blending seamlessly with the African-patterned fabric.
