Fabric chosen by the founder of Samaaj Studio for the Grita Samaaj collaboration, created by both brands as part of the Grita creator's trip to Mumbai in 2025

  • Hand wash or delicate cycle (max. 30°C)
  • Low spin
  • Mild detergent

Please note:

•⁠  ⁠Grita works with used, discarded household fabrics. These fabrics often show some wear and tear and signs of use, which we try to disguise or integrate as best as possible.

•⁠  ⁠This means that some pieces require a lot of work from us in terms of sanitisation and "restoration" of the fabrics and embroidery.

•⁠  ⁠On Grita's page, you won't find references to gender. We create our pieces without thinking about who will wear them, because everyone wears what they want.

•⁠  ⁠For this reason too, we don't follow certain sewing conventions (e.g., buttons on the left or right). We place them randomly or on the side that enhances the shirt's beauty.

•⁠  ⁠As these are old fabrics, especially if they are embroidered, it is very important to follow the washing recommendations.
